This work was borne out from experience with clients at rehabilitation centres during my practicum. I discovered that many of the clients were experiencing psychological and social issues including stress, rejection, isolation, trauma and lack of family support. The counseling sessions provided me with an opportunity to interact with the clients, while encouraging them to move on with increased self awareness and willingness to cope with the issues.
