And if we pursue the analysis still further, we shall find the collection centres round the early art of Eng land, including the work not only of Englishmen, but of those foreigners who were attracted thither, or whose works found favor there while still of small account in their own country; a summary which includes landscapes, as well as portraits. Out side of this main group is a scattering of foreign painters, some few of whom belong to the nineteenth century.
