He was a medium-sized, broad-shouldered young fellow, about twenty-six or seven years of age; his features were tolerably well marked; his eyes, dark gray in color, had a habit of looking you straight in the face, as if they had no fear of your reading anything wrong in their depths; and his mustache and hair were chestnut in color.
