<p>Inga Beale was appointed CEO of Lloyd&rsquo;s of London in 2014 becoming the first woman to lead the insurance market and the first openly bisexual woman to top the Financial Times list of influential LGBT+ executives.</p><p>The public artist Martin Firrell uses language in public space to stimulate debate and promote change with the aim of making the world more humane.</p><p>In conversation, Beale and Firrell reflect on the different ways women and men are judged, the relationship between gender and power, and the continuing challenge of inequality in the work place.</p><p>Firrell contrasts the contemporary views of Inga Beale with the writing of Olympe de Gouges, the French women&rsquo;s rights activist who demanded equality for women during the French revolution.</p><p>This publication is part of socialart.work, a mass public art project by Martin Firrell calling for greater social justice.
