Excerpt from Index to Material on Picture Study<br><br>This list is designed to be of use in locating information about material on pictures frequently studied in schools. The need for such a list is apparent, for there are a number of books dealing with picture study in schools, and to locate the material on any one picture requires considerable search.<br><br>In September, 1912, the Oregon library commission issued a pamphlet on Picture study in the schools which contained among other things an Index to pictures in the state manual.
