The Völsungasaga often called in English the saga of the Völsungs is a legendary Icelandic saga. Following the origin and decline of the Völsung clan, including the tales of Sigmund and his son Sigurd and their battles with the Burgundians. Many of the earliest books, particularly those dating back to the 1900s and before, are now extremely scarce and increasingly expensive.
