The people of Ireland have been obliged to emigrate to Great Britain and to her colonies, as well as to Continental Europe, and wherever they go they are to her a cause of anxiety and disturbance. Even into lands not subject to her imperial sway, as the United States, or in countries foreign to her in race, creed and speech, they have carried the story of their wrongs, and transmitted the ever burning tradition of her injustice and persecutions.
