<p>The story of the Last Breath is told through the journals of the main&nbsp;character, Desiderio Roman, and what he witnesses and experiences&nbsp;in purgatory. As one of the grave robbers, an outlaw in purgatory,&nbsp;Desiderio struggles mightily as he faces emotional and physical,&nbsp;opposing daemons. "Purg" is a dangerous seedy world of witchcraft,&nbsp;swords, giants and dragons. Desiderio does find love, friendships&nbsp;and beauty in nature, but in the end, his reality is that he is where&nbsp;unwanted souls exist and goodness is hard to find as possession,&nbsp;addiction and obsession consume him.&nbsp;</p>
