Excerpt from Bulletin of Sweet Briar Alumnae Association, 1926-1927, Vol. 10<br><br>This Communication is addressed to every former student of Sweet Briar but particularly to those who-have lost touch with the college and the Alumna Association. Please read it!<br><br>This year the Alumnae Bulletin is being sent to every old girl whose name is not listed among the lost. Hitherto the Bulletin as well as other communications have been sent to only those active members who have paid their dues within the last three years. It obviously entails considerable additional expense to send them to the larger list, but we are hoping that the money thus spent will be a good investment.<br><br>We believe that in a majority of instances those Sweet Briar girls who have completely lost touch with the Alumnae Association and have lapsed into inactive membership have done so because of the lack of a central oflice and the difficulty of knowing to whom communications should be addressed, and the scattered condition of our alumna, than from any definite lack of affection for Sweet Briar or lack of interest in her welfare. We realize, also, that once having been put on the inactive list and thereafter receiving no communications it has been difficult for the individual alumna to know how to get back in touch with the association.
