What on earth are aliens from Mars doing in a farmer's yard in the year 1942?

Fourteen-year-old Laura is the Zecrof Guardian, able to travel into the past, and it is up to her to find out. A simple trip back to 1942 with her cousin, Steve, and best friend, Alice, becomes anything but simple when Laura finds herself with the sole responsibility of saving Earth from an alien invasion!
