Excerpt from The Claims of Decorative Art<br><br>While maintaining the first importance of the arts and crafts of design as contributing to the formation of a fine sense of beauty - a sense which grows by what it feeds on, I have dwelt upon the necessity of harmonious relation in all the arts, and a return to their primal unity in architecture.
