<p><br></p><p><span style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1)">This&nbsp;is a&nbsp;historical novel&nbsp;of the experiences of a child&nbsp;with strong country roots who becomes victim to the Pandemic of Polio in 1946.&nbsp;Put into the hospital, he copes&nbsp;emotionally with a strong belief in God and much humor. Woven into the story are many Christian attitudes and principles such as honoring one's Father and Mother.&nbsp;After 65 days the Doctors give up after exhausted all known treatment for Polio including treatment in the Iron Lung. They pronounce, in front of the child, he will die in two weeks. The Parents decide to take the child home. The Doctors require them to sign papers,&nbsp;that they will not sue&nbsp;when the child dies. God heals the child. The book's title is taken from a&nbsp;country expression which means a thing, such as life, or a person&nbsp;is rough or unconventional. This story is based 90% on actual experiences.</span></p><p>&nbsp;<strong style="color: rgba(255, 0, 0, 1)">&nbsp;</strong><span style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1)">I have </span><strong style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1)">&nbsp;</strong><span style="color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 1)">been an ordained minister since1974. With my wife of 62 years,&nbsp;I have served the Lord in New York, Texas, Maryland, and Missouri.&nbsp;I have served&nbsp;in many capacities, in mostly small churches. I had many secular jobs to supply family support. This has given me&nbsp;experience with&nbsp;the common citizen. My favorite ministry was to write and direct dramas and skits using the local congregation.&nbsp;I have been blessed&nbsp;to experience several Miracles over the years. This book is based on my first.&nbsp;Several of my children and grandchildren have gone into&nbsp;ministry.</span></p>
