<p><strong>Dear Readers,</strong></p><p><br></p><p>I am excited and proud to share our 2023 catalog with you. Engage Books strives to publish books that make a difference, books that help children think critically about the world. Our goal is to help children become informed and engaged citizens who can make the world a better place. Our frontlist of 46 new Level 1, 2, and 3 readers was created in the hope of achieving this goal.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Our flagship series, <em>Understand Your Mind And Body,</em> teaches kids about <em>Autism, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression</em> and <em>Dyslexia</em>, and gives seven-to-nine-year-olds the opportunity to understand how their own minds, or the minds of loved ones, functions. Books on <em>Asthma, Diabetes, Obesity</em> and <em>Vision Loss </em>help kids to recognize changes that may be happening their bodies.</p><p><br></p><p>It is vital that we empower the next generation to recognize the mistakes in our past. Our <em>Working Towards Equality</em> series teaches kids about <em>Antisemitism, Homophobia, Racism</em> and <em>Sexism</em>, in the hopes that we can help foster a kinder and gentler future.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Following a pandemic it is more important than ever that we help children to navigate complex emotions. In our <em>Emotions and Feelings</em> series, we teach children about <em>Fear, Guilt, Happiness, Worry</em> and <em>Anger</em> while recognizing the <em>Gratitude, Sadness</em> and <em>Grief</em> that many are facing. By understanding their emotions, children can begin to heal.</p><p><br></p><p>We believe in speaking to children as creative and imaginative individuals who may one day change the world. <em>Our Changing Planet</em> is a series that pulls back the curtain on subjects like <em>Air Pollution, Climate Change, Extreme Weather,</em> and <em>Habitat Loss</em>.
