Money. People kill for it and die for it. Yet, it is
nothing more than a
concept, an agreement of value made between our early
ancestors.
How did money get so much power, where did it come
from, and
how do we take back control of it? This book explores
the depths of
both history and the psyche to understand the origins
of money and
how it acts in our lives. Using the Jungian hermeneutic
methodology, texts from economics, anthropology,
mythology,
folklore, and depth psychology are analyzed to
discover and explore
the existence of a new archetypal image of peer
relationships and a
new theory of the origin and function of money. This
interpretation
also provides information that leads to the
development of an
understanding of the nature of commercial
relationships and the
cost of these relationships to our individual psyches
and to the
functioning of society in general.
