NO at tempt is made to explain the significance of these various categories, since they accord with the common use of the terms in contemporary neuro psychiatric literature. Readers unfamiliar with the terms will find them clearly explained and il lustrated in the modern texts in psychiatry.<br><br>The use of the classification Psychoneurosis, however, requires explanation. In a certain num ber of cases, although the patient's condition was recognized as psychoneurotic or functional, his particular classification was not determined at the time the psychological records were com pleted.
