This is a book about the individual stages of development we undergo in life, some of which we accept as normal, while other phases we may see as a threat. Many areas will be touched upon, and while they may not seem to make sense at first, they suddenly become clear when viewed as part of the larger picture. For example, we find ourselves asking: Why is it precisely my profession or partnership that is so chaotic? Why do I get sick so often? Why do so many things in my life go wrong?

There are always five pillars to our being. These can also be described as our inner values, which cannot be separated as they make up who we are and determine our entire life.
