<p>In this little book, we will have a look at a few different sorts of puzzles, with many original ones &nbsp;interspersed with the odd quiz questions (to keep your memory muscle amused), lateral thinking puzzles and wordy interludes and few of the better known puzzles and riddles from history with a little background to their origins.</p>

<p>My favourite puzzles are those where the simplicity of the question belies the complexity of the answer (such as the &lsquo;Whispered Numbers&rsquo;) or where there appears to be insufficient information (such as &lsquo;What&rsquo;s the Date?&rsquo; or &lsquo;Mr Bramley&rsquo;s Apple&rsquo;).</p>
