Excerpt from Companion to the Official Catalogue: Synopsis of the Contents of the Great Exhibition of 1851<br><br>It is scarcely possible that any two individuals should desire to see the Exhibition in the same way, or pro bable that. They would pursue the same path in their examination of the articles exhibited. At the same time, believing that a guide through~ the intricacies of this vast space will be a relief from that uncertainty which must necessarily beset a visitor standing in the centre of the Transept for the first time, a system for examining it has been essayed.
