About the Author:

Morsidy Husin is a Tausug Poet-Singer-Songwriter from Sulu, who is now based in Santa Cruz, California, USA. He has a Master’s Degree in Asian Studies from the University of the Philippines. Morsidy used to work as the Committee Secretary of House Committee on Muslim Affairs at the Philippines’ House of Representatives, among others, when he was in the Philippines. In one of Tatjana Pantic’s paintings he was quoted having said, “Music is produced by diverse guitar strings, tuned in harmony to play as one. When different strings play as one, they generate beautiful music; like the diverse fingers that play them on a guitar.”

About the Artist:

Tatjana Pantic is a very promising young artist from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and graduated from a private art school in the San Francisco Bay Area. To deepen her art and perspective about the beauty and depths of the United States landscapes, she traveled the western United States. Her dream has been to form her own Non-Profit Organization. She wants to help victims of human trafficking though the use of visual arts, music, and poetry. Having an eye for art and poetry, Tatjana collected and retyped all the lost works of Morsidy Husin, and designed this book of poetry — which Morsidy considers as his “Humble Rubaiyyat.”
