<P>Traditionally the subject of adolescent development has been explored using a stage based approach, with the potential pitfalls and upsets of adolescence often focussed upon. In this book the authors draw on a wealth of research to examine the period of development from adolescence to adulthood using a dynamic system approach; examining realistic, multi-variable explanations to the transitions and consequent transformations that occur in young people as they face this time of their life.</P>
<P>The book considers the social institutions, interactions, contexts and relationships that interact and influence each other in normal positive development. </P>
