<p>Silverton Colorado, final destination of one of the most famous narrow-gauge steam trains in the world&mdash;any kid would be thrilled to take a ride, especially if it meant getting out of school, right? Well, not Kade Crawford, a &ldquo;poor little rich girl,&rdquo; yanked from her 8th grade class in Illinois, right before the big dance and graduation. Without much explanation, Kade is forced to take an instant vacation with her brother and a father she hardly knows.</p>

<p>And in Silverton, living in his family-owned hotel, fifteen-year-old Pat McKinney, &ldquo;a rich little poor boy,&rdquo; takes responsibilities far beyond his years due to a heartbreaking mystery: What happened to his father, the train&rsquo;s engineer, five whole years ago?</p>
