The author of Toss ena Beles (ጦስ እና በለስ), Mulugeta Mekonnen, is an Economics and MBA graduate, a veteran of the US armed forces. He served on a US Navy Aircraft Carrier, a warship, a "floating island"; and sailed the high seas, across the Pacific Ocean, the Indian Ocean, and the Persian Gulf.
