<p><em>Visions of the Beyond</em> is a collection of digital illustrations originally created by Stefanie Masciandaro for <em>Startling Sci-Fi: New Tales of the Beyond</em>, an anthology of short fiction published by New Lit Salon Press. The complete series is reproduced here in full color for the first time. You also get a peek behind-the-scenes of Masciandaro's process as a digital artist through her initial sketches and concept pieces. Also included are alternate versions of the final works. These "remixes" of sorts extend the illustrations beyond their original context and probe at the very nature of digital art.</p>
