The United Nations Population Fund has declared HIV/AIDS is a young people's disease. Individuals between the ages of 15 and 24 are infected every 14 seconds. Disclosure is an important factor in HIV/AIDS prevention interventions. Disclosure of ones HIV status enables for improved access to prevention and treatment programs provides increased opportunities for risk reduction and helps in planning for the future.
