Excerpt from Trial Before the High Court of Justiciary in Scotland: At the Instance of Daniel Ross, Woodsawer in Aberdeen; Against Lieutenant-Colonel George Mackenzie, Captain Felix Bryan Macdonogh, Serjeants Andrew Mackay Alex; Sutherland, All of the Late Regiment of Ross Cromarty Rangers for the Murder of John Ross

Not to enter farther into a detail of particulars, Which will scarcelybear a repetition, suffice it to say, that the leading facts incontestibly were as above stated; and that they were admitted to amount to the crime of murde1 the most atrocious!
