He began teaching in the district schools of his native county, and has advanced step by step until he has attained his present position. He came to from Defiance where he had been Superintendent of the schools for four years. Lie is a graduate of the National Normal University of Lebanon. Ohio, and also of Defiance College. He took up the burden laid down bv the death of. Superintendent llaupert in 1909. He has been with us three years and the school has gradually grown to one of the first High Schools in the state under his guidance.
