Worldwide, gender discrimination has deteriorated the socio-economic and politico-cultural life of women just because of their gender, which remained to be the single main cause of inequity in many Third World societies. Therefore, this book- 'Gender and Socio-Cultural Practices' presents how local level traditional customary social and cultural practices are deeply influenced by patriarchal assumptions and expectations and then ultimately remained to be the conventional governing socio-cultural instruments among the Majangir of Ethiopia.
