The illustrations of the book are all from living pictures. It has been the habit of the author, when the attendant at a birth, to ask for a photo graph of the baby. Added to this collection have been gifts of the photographs of babies with whom we have had much to do as a physician. In this way has been gathered a collee tion of living pictures from which these illustrations have been taken.
