<p>The object of this book is to teach practical English to Portuguese speaking people in the shortest time. Vocabulary and subjects have been chosen from everyday life, with the intention of making the lessons interesting as well as instructive. This is not a so-called direct method. It is rather a translated method where we translate from English to Portuguese and vice-versa.</p>
