We are is glad to presents the complete collection of the great job made by A.V. Viskovatov dedicated
to the uniforms and weapons belonging from the first Zar and Russian emperors to the Russian army
during the Napoleonic period, until 1860 about. The time we considered in this volume corresponds
to the reigns of Nicholas I that was the Emperor of Russia from 1825 until 1855. He was also the King of
Poland and Grand Duke of Finland. He is best known as a political conservative whose reign was marked by
geographical expansion, repression of dissent, economic stagnation, poor administrative policies, a corrupt
bureaucracy, and frequent wars that culminated in Russia’s defeat in the Crimean War of 1853–56.
Our reprint in based on the original 19th century volumes. This part is distributed at now on six volumes.
Our new edition, the first ever published in English, both on paper and digital format, boasts a large number
of color plates, many of them unpublished and re-coloured by our team of expert artists and scholars of
uniformology. Each volume is based on 100 color plates or more, always accompanied by the original translated
text which describes the subjets of the plates.
A unique work in its genre, a must have in any respecting collection!
