Virtual reality offers a new paradigm for building human-computer interfaces, enabling users to immerse in computer-simulated, interactive, three-dimensional environments. Cultural heritage, education, training, entertainment and e-commerce are notable examples of application areas that can largely benefit from the use of VR technplogies. However, the actual uptake of VR applications is still very low-mainly due to the difficulty in creating meaningful, high-quality interactive VR content.
