Theobjectiveofthisconferenceistoprovideaforumforresearchersworking onbothwavelettheoryanditsapplications.Byidea-sharinganddiscussionson thestateoftheartinwavelettheoryandapplications,ICWAA2001isaimed
tostimulatethefuturedevelopment,explorenovelapplications,andexchange ideasfordevelopingrobustsolutions. ByAugust2001,wehadreceived67fullpaperssubmittedfromallover
theworld.Toensurethequalityoftheconferenceandproceedings,eachpaper wasreviewedbythreereviewers.Afterathoroughreviewprocess,theprogram committeeselected24regularpapersfororalpresentationand27shortpapers
