This study provides an introductory explanation on the differing ways to express the future tense in Latin before proceeding to the three core chapters that pertain to periphrasis. The chapters consider the historical emergence, the stabilization, and both the extended usage and grammatical usage of periphrastic vado (ad) plus infinitive.
