It is considered to be his most famous work.</p><p>Charles Marlow, the novel’s narrator, relates a tale of his journey up the Congo River in the Congo on behalf of a Belgian trading company including his encounters with Mr. Kurtz, a European trader, whom the natives have worshipped. The book raises issues about imperialism and racism.</p>
